It’s a matter of time

At long last some of our politicians woke up to the fact that to retain a coherent society we need to have a good look on our immigration policies and how they are administered. Lately our citizenship certificates were thrown out like a confetti. If you get something for nothing, you put little value on it. While we do need migrants, we don’t want them at any price. Thus the idea of making some tests before citizenship is granted, is a good idea. After all, what value we put on a migrant who comes here only, because our social security handouts are almost unequal in the world?
I have been an opponent of multiculturism for many years. When we bring migrants to this country we want to integrate them into our society. If we don’t, we create a nation of tribes that will create upheaval to our society in years to come. Instead of being grateful for giving them a chance to lead civilized life, small minorities will dictate to us what to do, what type of dress we are allowed to wear, what we can eat and what religion we can worship and limit our freedom of free speech. Do we really need this in this country?
On opening of Federal Parliament the Speaker starts with a Christian prayer. This has been a practise since creation of our Federal Parliament. Just watch how long it is going to take before Muslim organizations commence a campaign that this practise must be abandoned because it offends their religious feelings. Perhaps they would insist that sections of Koran be read instead. Impossible? Just watch it. How many of our freedoms we have already conceded to small minorities of migrants?
Stop this open door – no questions asked immigration policy before it’s too late. Let any prospective applicant know what our system of government is and if accepted as migrants they would be expected to learn our language and integrate fully into our society. This is not a racist attitude, it is just plain common sense.
